Octave Landuyt, already known for his painting and sculptures, began working with jewellery in the 1960's.

His thought about jewellery was : to come alive, jewellery must be in direct relationship with human beings. It must "stick to the skin". Everything had prepared Landuyt to working in this area: his sense of the object itself and of its beauty, his technical knowhow, his work in many fields, his natural curiosity, a desire to participate, his taste for action, one might always say his obsession for action.                            Did Expositions all over the world.
